2014 HOPES Honorees

SMMS honored three outstanding volunteers at the 37th Annual HOPES Dinner held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Aqua Turf in Southington.  This dinner is an opportunity for all schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford to honor the volunteers who give so much time and talent to Catholic elementary education.  Mrs. Christine Fahy has been the Home & School Association Fundraising Chairperson for many years.  She created two new events for HSA which have been wildly successful.  Mrs. Fahy has been a dependable benefactor to the school.  Mrs. Fahy has two children, Francis (2012) and Connor (2017).  Mr. Mark Garceau is a member of the SMMS School Board and Chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee.  He oversaw the construction of the new playground and works tirelessly on jobs throughout the school building.  Mr. Garceau has three children, Luke (2013), Sydney (2015) and Jackson.  Mrs. Jacqueline Pillis served as Home & School Assocation Co-President for two years and as co-chairperson of the annual carnival and golf tournament.  Mrs. Pillis has two children, Alexander (2016) and Amelia (2019).
